Such Was Virginia

I met Virginia shortly before Virginia and Jim were married. I also met the Goetz Family about the same time. If one wonders at the strength of character and life values of Virginia, one need go no further than the Goetz family, a family of great faith, humility, and inner strength. Virginia is a reflection of that essence of love. That love was brought into her marriage with Jim, and with Jim, their love into the lives of their children and grandchildren. I experienced one of their Sunday after Mass brunches, with their children and the (now) oldest grandchildren. There was an abundance of everything: great food, great cheer, fun conversation, and a good time was had by all. There are individuals who touch our lives that we always remember. These individuals are the most humble, most loving, most down-to-earth individuals who always place the cares and concerns of everyone else ahead of their own, and do so with a great sense of humor and a smile. Such was Virginia. Virginia's legacy is that she gave her all - her very best to each life she touched - always. And each life she touched is the better for having touched the life of Virginia.
