In 1993 I was looking to make a career in Restaurant management. I saw an ad in the Pittsburgh Post-gazette for a General Manager position at the Dairy Queen on the Southside of Pittsburgh. I applied for the position and had an interview with David a few days later. Needless to say I was hired to manage the Dairy Queens day-to- day operations for exactly one year before moving to Atlanta, GA. David always had a hand in the store and worked at the store a few times a week. David was a firm boss – but always fair. It’s really sad that I just noticed that David died today (November 17, 2012) while searching some old sites. David was a great guy and I know he is problem making movies up in Heaven!
