Mr. Tomey was my 8th grade social studies teacher back in the 90's. He was a wonderful teacher but more importantly an excellent role model. He was one of the teachers that helped develop my desire to become a teacher. I looked forward to hearing from yearly around Christmas. I will definitely cherish my most recent Christmas card. Rest In Peace Mr. Tomey--you will be missed.

Rest in Peace, Bill, free from pain! I first met Bill in 2005 at a Hoover Reunion. His grandfather and my grandfather were brothers. As cousins, Bill and I are the oldest in the extended Hoover family. Bill was always so caring, gentle, quiet spoken, but with a good sense of humor and I will miss him. He and I collaborated on a book for our Aunt Cissy Deegan's cat, Abby - he took most of the photographs for the book and often visited Aunt Cissy. At our reunions, Bill was the official photographer and organized games for the crowd of around 50 Hooverites. When my husband passed away this past January, Bill tried to call me the night before he went to the hospital....always the thoughtful cousin! He had such a loving, generous heart and I will dearly miss him. Kathe Witt
