I served on the Deer Valley Board with him for only a few years, but I will never forget his intelligence, kindness, and warmth. He was a wonderful man, and I'm a better person for knowing him. My heart goes out to your whole family.

I am deeply saddened by the passing of Don. He was and will continue to be a mentor of mine as I serve on the Deer Valley Board. God bless him and all of you. My thoughts and prayers are with you during this very difficult time.

I was saddened to learn of Don's death recently. He and I got to know each other for the first time when Don was on the committee who vetted me for a position on the Deer Valley YMCA Camp Board of Management, and he never failed to impress me at board meetings with his clear grasp of issues confronting the board, and his approach to meeting and resolving those issues. He will be missed not only by his family, the Deer Valley community, and the Carnegie-Mellon University Community, but by the community at large. He made a significant contribution, and enriched the lives of those who got to know him. John Aiello
