My earliest racing memories include being regaled with Donna Mae Mims stories. Many years later I had the great thrill of meeting, and talking to her when she worked Grid at several tracks. Hard to believe someone of her small stature could stomp open doors and charge thru them so successfully - until you hear the stories first hand and see the grin on her face.
