Obituary for James Lawrence Putnak

James Lawrence Putnak,
Age 67, of Canonsburg, died Friday July 16, 2004 at St. Clair Hospital. He was born November 9, 1936 in Monongahela the son of James and Elizabeth (Appolonia) Putnak.
Mr. Putnak retired from Belle Vernon Area Schools after many years as a history teacher. He was most recently retired as a truck driver from C. J. Langenfelder. He was a member of the Zion Lutheran Church, Bridgeville, the Elks in Monongahela, the PA Teachers Union, and the Teamsters. Mr. Putnak also enjoyed hunting and fishing.
He is survived by his wife Paula (Boliver) Putnak of Canonsburg, a son James John Putnak of Bentleyville, two brothers Joe Putnak of Monongahela and Larry Putnak of Monongahela, two sisters Sara Zaugg of Bethel Park and Helen Jean Tongchinsub of Bethel Park, two step sons Brian McHugh of Monessen, and Mark McHugh of Canonsburg; and a grandson Sean McHugh, also several nieces and nephews. Friends of James L. Putnak who died Friday July 16, 2004 will be received at BEINHAUERS, 2828 Washington Road, McMurray, 724-941-3211, on Monday 7-9 PM. Funeral Services will be held Tuesday 11:00 AM at Zion Lutheran Church, Bridgeville, with the Rev. Donald Matzat officiating. Entombment will follow in Forest Lawn Gardens. The Family suggests that memorial donations be made to Zion Lutheran Church, 3197 Washington Pike, Bridgeville, PA 15017.
