Age 88, of Mt. Lebanon, on Sunday, December 15, 2013. Beloved Husband of 64 years to Hilfred (Wood) Warner; Loving Father of Robert H. Warner, M.D., Thomas W. (Colleen) Warner, and Gary W. (Wendy) Warner; Brother of the late Jean Baker; Cherished Grandfather of James “JT” (Anne) Warner, Anne (Matt) Atwood, and Elizabeth, John, Jennifer, Alyssa, and Amanda Warner; Cherished Great-Grandfather of Lily Meara and Peter and William Atwood. Dr. Warner served as a First Lieutenant in the United States Marine Corps. He was a graduate of Pennsylvania State University and the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine. He served his internship at Columbia Hospital and a three-year residency at Magee-Womens Hospital and was on the staff of St. Clair Hospital and Magee Womens Hospital. He was a former president of the Pittsburgh Obstetrics and Gynecology Society and a member of the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology as well as the Board of Directors of St. Clair Hospital. His practice covered many years in the South Hills area, and he will be greatly missed by his beloved patients. He was a longtime member of St. Clair Country Club and an avid golfer who enjoyed playing bridge and will be remembered as a friendly and caring man. No public visitation. A Memorial Service will be celebrated on Friday at 11 a.m. in Southminster Presbyterian Church. The family suggests that memorial contributions be made to the St. Clair Hospital Foundation, 1000 Bower Hill Road, Pittsburgh, PA 15243 or Southminster Presbyterian Church, 799 Washington Road, Pittsburgh, PA 15228.
