Burial Information

Information About Our Ground Burial Services

  • Woodruff Memorial Park is an endowed care cemetery with numerous graves, mausoleum, Columbarium and niche sites that are available for many years to come. In addition, the cemetery still has considerable land space in which to expand. Our customized payment plans can be designed to fit any budget. Each single grave space has room for one full burial and one urn of the cremated body or two cremated body burials.
  • Double-depth burials are also available to the families we serve.
  • We require an outer burial container or vault to encase the casketed loved one.
  • A special Veterans’ Section is dedicated to those who so valiantly served our country, as well as a section in which free burial is provided for children that have been victimized by abuse. The National Watchful Shepherd Monument will be built on that land to serve as a visible tribute and constant reminder of those children.
  • Traditional in-ground burials are permitted to choose any type of monument, ranging from flush bronze markers to stately granite upright memorials.

What are Mausoleum Crypts?

  • This type of final resting place is known for its unsurpassed example of strength, durability and beauty and is adorned with marble and granite
  • The religious features placed throughout the mausoleum complex offer inspiration for prayer and meditation.
  • After the funeral service, a personalized entombment service is held in the beautifully appointed chapel or open- air courtyard.
  • The crypt front is identified with bronze plaque ensuring permanent memorialization
  • The ease of location and prestige associated with a mausoleum crypts is unsurpassed. The comfort of our mausoleum’s accommodations make it an ideal venue for visiting your loved one at any time of year.
  • The mausoleum eliminates the need for a vault purchase or additional grate or bronze marker.

Memorialization

Unlike other cemeteries and memorial parks, Woodruff allows each family to choose from any style of monument. Marking your loved one’s grave is an important and personal choice, and we want to provide the type of tribute you see fit.

The monuments can range in size and shape and can lie flush with the ground, a slant, or an upright piece. The materials used to construct the monument can be made from granite, bronze, or other durable material.

What is an Outer Burial Container?

  • If you choose an in ground burial, it is necessary to purchase either an outer burial container or a vault. The difference between the two depends on the amount of weight that a particular container can withstand. Vaults are able to displace more weight than an outer burial container, in most cases.
  • A vault is also more likely to have advanced enhancements that make an attempt to keep water and other debris from entering and damaging the casket. The vault’s manufacturer determines what type of guarantees are provided for each outer burial container or vault.

Cremation Burials and Interment

If you wish to provide a special resting place for a loved one’s cremated body, there are plenty of options. We are able to provide an in-ground burial on top of a loved one’s traditional burial location, or two urns of cremated body may be placed in one grave space.

The mausoleum offers both glass and marble from niches in which you can place an urn containing the cremated body. Our outdoor columbarium also provides a marble front niche with a scenic view of the Woodruff’s grounds.
