Wayne Harold Duerr, age 85, of Blaine Twp., passed away Tuesday, July 26, 2022. He was the beloved husband for 35 years to Janet Duerr; loving father of Karen Duerr (Coty Ammons); proud grandfather of Talon Ammons; loving brother of Noreen Brooks; and son of the late Harold and Anna (Gimbel) Duerr. Wayne was a graduate of Langley High School. He received his Master’s Degree from Duquesne University and later obtained his Doctorate Degree. He worked as a General Biological Scientist for the US Bureau of Mines and NIOSH. Wayne served in the Air National Guard, was a member of the Masons and loved farming. He will be remembered most as a wonderful husband, amazing father and devoted grandfather. Family and friends are welcome Wednesday 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at Beinhauer Funeral Home, 2828 Washington Road, McMurray (724-941-3211). A service will be held Thursday 11 a.m. at North Side Catholic Cemetery, 204 Cemetery Lane, Pittsburgh, PA 15237 (please meet at the cemetery).
