Age 76, of Upper St Clair, peacefully passed away surrounded by friends and family, on May 7 2023. Ginny was born June 2, 1946, daughter of the late Horton Jerome Schultz and Violet Emma Barr, who preceded her in death, along with her lifetime companion Ron Bullis. Ginny graduated from USC high school in 1964, graduating from Carnegie Mellon class of 1968, with her Music degree. Ginny was one of the best clarinet and bassoon teachers in Pittsburgh, The first woman to tour Broadway and open her own woodwind repair shop that she ran between gigs at the Pittsburgh Ballet, Opera, and Symphony, and regional Orchestras. Ginny was a member of the Pymatuning Sailing Club, sailing 505’s and Fireball, winning many awards in Regional and National Regattas. Ginny passed on her knowledge as a mentor in the Junior sailing club. In her later years Ginny became an avid dog trainer and exhibitor, devoting herself to her shelties, obtaining obedience trial championships and national rankings on multiple dogs. Ginny excelled in life both professionally and personally, along with spiritually, as she would minister on guitar alongside Pastor, Cynthia L. Smith, in several personal care homes in the community. Ginny’s passion and presence will be dearly missed by godson’s Adam Murray, Noah Willumsen, and beloved friends, Laura Williamson, Willie and Cynthia Smith, the extended Barr-Schultz family, along with the many lives she touched in the dog community. Friends will be received from 1-5 p.m. at Beinhauer Funeral home on Wednesday, May 10th, where a Homegoing service will be held on Thursday, May 11th, at 11 a.m. with the Pastor Cynthia L. Smith officiating. Interment will be private on Friday, May 12th, at Allegheny Cemetery Pittsburgh.
