Obituary for Victoria P. "Vicky" Schipani (Poliziani)

Victoria “Vicky” (Poliziani) Schipani, of Upper St. Clair, formerly of the West End of Pittsburgh, passed away peacefully on Monday, January 10, 2022, at the age of 77. Married November 23, 1963, she joins her husband of 54 years, Patrick “Fuddy” Schipani, who passed away in 2019. Victoria was born May 11, 1944, in Johnstown, a daughter of the late Luigi and Lena Poliziani. Vicky was in the clothing business for many years, but best remembered for selling designer jeans to countless young women from her basement. After retiring from the clothing business, she sold jewelry and home décor through her company VPS. Known for her outgoing personality, Vicky and her husband Pat were owners of “Paddy’s Pourhouse” in Carnegie. She loved nothing more than enjoying stories and spending time with the guests at the pub. She was an avid tennis player and especially enjoyed golfing and traveling with her husband and their friends. Throughout her life, she enjoyed entertaining, decorating her home, playing bingo, actively attending church and games of chance. Vicky was intensely proud of her sons, Patrick (Beth Ann), Jeffrey (Elizabeth), and Brian (Christine); as well as her grandchildren, Samantha (Michael Prest), Sydney, Patrick, Colby, Jeffrey, Peyton, MJ, and Max. Vicky will be missed by her siblings, Jildo Poliziani, Eve Minutello, Louis Poliziani, and Diana Poliziani; along with many loving nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her siblings, Lola Merlo, Virginia Fassio, Louise Capelli, James Poliziani, Arment Poliziani, Dino Poliziani, and Lydia Altiere. Family and friends welcome on Friday from 4-8 p.m. at Beinhauer Funeral Home, 2828 Washington Road, McMurray (724 941-3211). Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday at 10 a.m. in Resurrection Parish, St. Thomas More Church. Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association (www.alz.org).
