Obituary for Timothy Shannon
Of Washington, age 67, passed away on Friday, December 16 2022, surrounded by family. Beloved husband of Susan (Metzler). Dear father of Timothy (Heather) Shannon Jr, Kelly (Patrick) Walsh, Jaclynn (Frank) Lesjak, and Kathleen (David) Spalla. Loving grandfather of Alexa, Owen, Colleen, Aaron, Mackenzie, Timothy III, Sophia, Henry, Reese, Hannah, Max, and Eddie. Preceded in death by his parents, Thomas and Stella (Miller) Shannon. Brother of the late Thomas Shannon (surviving spouse, Vicki), Barbara (late David) Reitmeyer, Christine (William) Hardman, and Daniel (Mary) Shannon. Brother-in-law of Nancy Shannon, the late James Metzler, Barry (Cindy) Metzler, Jaynne (William) Dignon, and the late Laurence Metzler. As well as many nieces, nephews and friends.
Recently retired from RA Glancy and Sons where he worked as a Project Manager, Timothy enjoyed fishing and golfing but most of all he loved spending time with his family. He was married to Susan for 48 wonderful years, whom he would always lovingly refer to as his “bride”. His favorite title was “Pape”, as he was proud of all 12 of his grandchildren and was their biggest cheerleader and fan. Even through the toughest times of his illness, he would never miss an opportunity to spend time with them.
To know him was to love him. He was the life of the party; he brought laughter and good times wherever he went. He easily made friends, had a great sense of humor, was generous, and accepted everyone.
Family and friends are welcome Monday, 4 to 8 p.m. at Beinhauer Family Funeral Home, 2828 Washington Rd, McMurry, PA 15317. Mass of Christian Burial Tuesday, 10:00 a.m. at St. Oscar Romero Parish, St. Patrick Catholic Church.
