Obituary for Thomas "Tommy" Cox III
Thomas “Tommy” Cox III, 39, of Washington, died unexpectedly on Tuesday, April 4, 2023, in UPMC Presbyterian Hospital. He was born July 8, 1983, in Washington, a son of Virginia Cox and the late Harry E.T. Cox.
Tommy graduated with honors from Washington High School.
He enjoyed watching wrestling and was an avid Baltimore “Pigeons” fan. Tommy had a great sense of humor and loved to laugh and make others laugh.
Tommy was a loving and caring person and was always available to help others. No matter what the task, he was always there to get the job done.
Tommy was dedicated to taking care of his family, especially his mother, Virginia. The two of them were best friends and inseparable. Truly at heart, Tommy was a momma’s boy.
Surviving is his mother, Virginia Cox; a sister, Mary Cox; eight brothers, James Cox, Robert Cox, Christopher Cox, Harry Cox, George Cox, Wayne Cox, Richard (Tammy) Cox and Keith Cox; a nephew, Robert Cox Jr.; five nieces, Raelynn Cox, Paislee Cox, Zoe Cox, Erin Cox and Ariel Cox; also survived by other nieces, nephews and family.
Deceased is his father, Harry E.T. Cox.
Friends and family are welcome from 5 to 8 p.m. on Monday, April 10, 2023, in Beinhauer-Bogan Funeral Home, 164 W. Pike St., Canonsburg (724-745-5810). A service will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday at the funeral home.
