Thelma (Boss) Creehan, age 94, of Castle Shannon, PA passed away peacefully at her home on Thursday, February 25, 2021, surrounded by her loving family. Thelma was born on June 8, 1926, to Philomena(Wolff) and Joseph Boss of Mount Lebanon. She married the late Edward Creehan in 1946. Thelma was a devout Catholic, loving wife and dedicated mother, who placed family and faith above all else. Her commitment to this was evident through her volunteer work for the church and community. She was an avid seamstress, making religious garments and numerous wedding gowns and draperies for family and friends. After raising her 6 children, Thelma enjoyed visiting her family, playing cards, walking, golfing, bowling, baking. gardening and even zip-lining at the age of 89. She also volunteered at Seton Center and Meals on Wheels and always went the extra mile to visit with those who needed a friendly face. Thelma was defined by her selflessness and love of her family. She was always available to help anyone in need and was dedicated to doing service for others.
She was the beloved wife of the late Edward Creehan, loving mother of Ed(the late Rosemary)Creehan, Jim(Rose)Creehan, Bill(Deb)Creehan, Deb(Mark) Binus, Dianne(Dale) Grosso and Sean (Stephanie) Creehan. The cherished grandmother of Bryan(Elizabeth), Kevin, Carrie(Jamie) Scott(Erin), Colleen, BJ(Heather), Kelly(Tony), Melinda(Nick), Sandy(Reza), Shane, Tairyn(J.J), Nick(Danielle), Kylie(Chris), Mackenzie(Dustin), Madison, Morgan and Mitchell. The proud Ggma of Kathryn, Adam, Nicole, Amanda, Parker, Carson, Devin, Valdemar, Kaia, Miles, Lucas, Ryland, Nevan, Avi, Cobin, Hudson, Piper, Daniel, Nina, Kinsley, Jaxon, Tucker, Finley, Brynley, Brooks and Idris. The beloved sister of Jack(Barbara)Boss, Lois (the late Art) Creehan and the late Joe( Angie/Jean)Boss, Al (Betty/Ernie)Boss, Bob(Marcy) Boss, Len(Helen) Boss, LaVerne(Ed)Fry, Helen (Joe) McCarthy, Don(Marg) Boss and many nieces and nephews.
