Age 89, of Bethel Park, passed away on Saturday, May 20, 2023. She was the beloved daughter of the late Defele Dominic and Theresa (Catella) Bernassoli; and sister of the late Gilbert Bernassoli. She graduated from the now closed South Side Hospital nursing school in 1955. Sylvia is a certified registered nurse anesthetist. Sylvia Bernassoli‘s nursing career spanned nearly 60+ years. She administered anesthesia to women undergoing egg for in vitro fertilization for about 22 years with 13 years being spent at Magee hospital. Friends and Family are welcome at the Beinhauer Funeral Home, 2828 Washington Road, McMurray (724-941-3211) on Tuesday from 4-7 p.m., where a blessing service will be held on Wednesday at 11 a.m. Interment to follow in Queen of Heaven Cemetery.
