Obituary for Stewart R. Snodgrass Jr.

Stewart R Snodgrass, 80, of Pittsburgh, died peacefully on November 18, 2022 at their home in Mt. Lebanon. He was born on January 18, 1942, to parents Stewart and Emma Snodgrass in Beaver Falls, PA.
Stu served his country for 3 years in the Navy, earning an honorable discharge with the rank of Lt. (JG).
Stu attended University of Pittsburgh for Undergraduate and Law School. He married his beloved wife, Marlene on June 24, 1964 and they had one child, Stewart III.
Stu spent his life working for various law firms in Pittsburgh and was known as one of Pittsburgh’s most respected tax attorneys. Stu continued to actively practice law at Kabala and Gesseman until October of this year.
Stu was an extremely active person, running and playing soccer until age 70 and biking well into his late 70s but his true passion was windsurfing, which he loved for the last two decades and continued to do as much as he could until the very last years of his life.
Stu is survived by his wife, son (wife Madelon Tieman), and grandchildren, Miles, 16, and Lila. 19.
Stu Snodgrass was a good and kind man, who valued hard work, integrity, and his family. He will be missed.
