Shirley L. Jackson, age 88, passed peacefully into God’s hands on December 8th, 2022 while surrounded by family and friend. Shirley was the daughter of William and Amelia (Emy) Jackson. Shirley was a graduate of Scott High School. She started her career working for Bridgeville Trust Company and moved on to Mellon Bank from which she retired. Shirley was a life long member of St. John’s Evangelical Church in Carnegie. She was also a long time member of Greentree Order of the Eastern Star.
In addition to her parents, Shirley was preceded in death by her long time best friend Mildred Barkand. Shirley is survived by cousins Robert (Natalie) Beckert, Bruce (Lynette) Beckert, William (Linda) Fishburn, Carol ( Vince) Micheli, Judy (Tom) Hunter, Edward Jr. (Dee) France, Lois (Rodney) Sheppard, goddaughters Natalie Fishburn-Sandoval and Jill Gardner Pezzino.
Arrangements by BEINHAUER-FRYER, 430 Washington Ave Bridgeville 15017 412-221-3800. A committal service will be held Thursday December 22, 2022 at 1:00 P.M. at the chapel at Jefferson Memorial Cemetery. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
