Shirley May Henson, 88, passed away surrounded by family on Tuesday, March 29, 2022, at Paramount Senior Living of Peters Township. She was born in Swissvale, the daughter of the late Homer and Amelia Locke. She lived the majority of her life in Eighty Four, PA. She will be lovingly remembered by her children: Carol Kenny of Washington, Lisa (Michael) McClaine of Bethel Park, Leslie Henson (Ivor Thomas) of Chico, California, Laurie Henson of Pittsburgh, and Michelle (Joseph) Ancosky of Venetia; grandchildren, Debbie Monnich, Brian Kenny, Sean McClaine, Rachel McClaine, Christian McClaine, Dylan Henson, Gwen Henson, Layla Henson, Payton Ancosky, Jadyn Ancosky, and Quinn Ancosky; and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband, William Henson, her daughter, Patricia Kenny, her sisters, Beverly Shamlin and Donna McCready, and her brothers, James Locke and Henry Locke. She was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. After the loss of her precious daughter, Patty, at a very young age, she found her faith and was deeply religious for the rest of her life. After raising her children, she met her goals by earning an associate’s degree from the Sawyer School of Business and working at Macy’s, Blackwell Stevenson, and Creative Dinners. She was very active in the pro-life movement and in her parish of St. Francis of Assisi in Finleyville and taught CCD classes for many years. She also enjoyed shopping and spending time with her children and grandchildren. Arrangements by BEINHAUERS, 2828 Washington Rd, McMurray, 15317.
