Obituary for Shawn Joseph O'Mara
Shawn Joseph O'Mara, a longtime resident of Bethel Park, PA (formerly of Beechview, PA) passed away on January 14th, 2023 at the age of 52. Shawn was born to parents Ruth and Gerard O'Mara.
Shawn married the love of his life and high school sweetheart, Emilia O'Mara (Pasquarelli). He became the proud father of Riley (21), Carley (17) and Frank (15). Among Shawn's many professional accomplishments, he was a successful business owner, serving as president and founder of O Creations. While leading his business, he was a dedicated faculty member at The Art Institute of Pittsburgh, Point Park University, Duquesne University and Chatham University. Despite his busy and thriving professional life, his family always came first. Shawn was his childrens' number one fan. Whether it was wrestling, basketball, football, lacrosse or golf, he never missed an opportunity to cheer them on. Shawn was a pillar in the Bethel Park community, donating his time and effort to make his community a better place. He was always able to put a smile on everyone's face and will be sorely missed by all that were lucky enough to know him. Shawn adored his family and loved them fiercely. He is survived by his wife Emilia (Pasquarelli) O'Mara, his children Riley, Carley and Frank, his sister Kelly (O'Mara) Collingsworth (Tom), Father and Mother in law Frank and Sandy Pasquarelli, brother in law Olindo Pasquarelli (Jennifer), sister in law Angela Hathy (Chris), many nieces and nephews along with numerous other loving family and friends. Wednesday, January 18, 2023 from 2-8p.m. A mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Thursday at 10:00am. in Resurrection Parish, St. Thomas More Church 126 Fort Couch Road, Pittsburgh, PA 15241. Inurnment private.
