Obituary for Robert D. Holland

Robert D. Holland, 74, of Bethel Park, passed away on Thursday, November 17, 2022, at Paramount Senior Living in Bethel Park.

He was born October 17, 1948, in Pittsburgh, a son of the Paul and Jean (Stromple) Holland.

Bob graduated from Brentwood High School in 1966 and served in the United States Air Force from 1966-1970.

He worked as a switchman for Verizon for 33 years retiring in 2003. After retiring, he worked for another 16 years as a Drivers License Examiner for PennDOT.

Bob enjoyed traveling and spending time with his family.

Mr. Holland is survived by his beloved wife of 48 years, Lorraine Holland; loving father of Jason (Abi) Holland; dear brother of Paul Holland; brother-in-law of Linda (Tom) and Phyllis (Bob); cherished uncle of Vince, Joe (Jenni), Kristin (Jeff), Ashley, Sarah (Brandon) and Shane; adored great-uncle of Enzo, Giuliana, Brooklyn and Sofia; also survived by many extended family members.

Family and friends are welcome on Wednesday from 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at Beinhauer Funeral Home, 2828 Washington Road, McMurray (724-941-3211). Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 1 p.m. on Wednesday at Resurrection Parish, St. Thomas More Church. Interment and military honors will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Friday at the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies.
