Age 86, of Pittsburgh, PA passed away on Friday, July 1, 2022. Cherished husband of 61 years of Joan (Sciechowicz); loving father of Christopher and Diane Markovich and Lisa (Steve) Bruet. Son of the late Mary and Joseph Markovitch. Brother to Robert (Peggy) and Marilyn (late Dale) Brecht; and brother-in-law of the late Edward (Odelia) Scier; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and neighbors. Richard was an Air Force veteran who, upon graduating from Duquesne University, began his career at Price Waterhouse as a CPA. He went on to become Director of International Tax Policy and Planning for Westinghouse Electric Corp. He enjoyed golfing, running and the beaches on Marco Island, Florida. Friends and family are invited to a Mass of Christian Burial on Saturday, July 9th at 10am in Our Lady of Grace Church, 310 Kane Blvd., Pgh., PA 15243. The family will greet guests in the vestibule of the church before the Mass. After Mass, there will be a Service at Queen of Heaven Cemetery, followed by a luncheon at Beinhauer Funeral Home at 2828 Washington Rd., 15317.
