Age 92, passed away on April 14th at Vincentian Marian Manor in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. She was born in Dearborn, Michigan in 1928 to David and Eleanor Prevaux. She married Charles A. Duncombe July 26, 1952 who preceded her in death in 1999. Renee, as she was most commonly referred, was passionate about helping those in need and spent her career as a pediatric nurse until her retirement from St. Clair Hospital in 1994. Her life was a living example of her rich Catholic faith and her favorite Bible verse, Ephesians 4:32 - “And be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving one another, just as God also forgave you in Christ.” Renada is survived by her children Susan (Gregory), Charles (Frederique), Diana (Mark); her grandchildren Jemila (Michael), Caitlin (Kevin), Shari (Erik), Michael, Robert (Chelsi); five great grandchildren; and many nieces. All of these she loved deeply. Her burial will take place Friday, April 17 at Calvary Catholic Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to her granddaughter’s’ charity which supports the needs of at-risk youth at Arrangements by BEINHAUERS. 412 531-4000. Please view or add tributes at

Dear Diana and family:

This is Ira, the maintenance man from Weinberg Terrace. Although, I am no longer there, I read about your mother, and I am so sorry to hear of her passing. She was one of the most sweet and wonderful ladies that I had the pleasure to work with. I enjoyed chit chatting with her and you as well. Best to the whole family. My condolences, Ira, be well and God Bless.

I met Renata was she was a resident at Marion Manor! Lovely woman! Alway wore a pin on the sweater/shirt. Sat at the same table as my Mom in the dining room. Sweet, never raised her voice she even watched tv with us sometimes. She loved the 3 Stooges. Getting her exercise she were to use her feet and go up and down the hallway in her wheelchair. My Condolences.
