Raymond George Gombar

Age 69, of Upper St. Clair, passed away on Friday, May 29, 2020. Raymond was the beloved husband of 47 years to Janet (Zimmerman) Gombar; loving father of Ray (Jess) Gombar, Gretchen (Geoff) Rulong, and Jessica (Andrew) Mitchell; proud Pop Pop of George, Edie, Peter, Henry, Frank, Emeline, Cecilia, Winston, and Louie; brother of Ron (Lenora) Gombar, Rita (Dick) Williams, and the late Patty Reddecliff. Raymond is also survived by many nieces and nephews. He was a graduate of University of Pittsburgh, where he earned a Bachelor’s Degree in economics. Raymond went on to earn his MBA from Robert Morris. Raymond was the VP of Branch Administration with Dollar Bank for 17 years, an adjunct business management professor at Robert Morris for 15 years, and served as the business manager for Woodland Hills Club for 20 years. Raymond could fix anything, his favorite project was a complete frame-off restoration of his ’67 Stingray Corvette, which he completed with his son.
Funeral arrangements by BEINHAUERS. Friends and Family are welcome at 2828 Washington Rd., McMurray on Sunday 12-4 p.m. All guests will be required to wear a mask or facial covering and our staff will monitor attendance to ensure gathering restrictions and everyone's safety. Church services and burial will be private.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Good Days Effective Compassion, which is an organization that greatly supported Raymond in his final year; or please consider donating blood through Vitalant to help save others that suffer from Myelofibrosis.
