Obituary for Peter A. Stancampiano, P.E.

After a courageous battle with Pancreatic cancer, Peter A. Stancampiano, P.E. passed away on Thursday, December 31, 2020. He was born on November 6, 1936, a Son of the late Anthony R. and Grace E. (Liberto) Stancampiano. Peter is survived by his beloved wife of 58 1/2 years Loretta (Greco) Stancampiano; Treasured father of Blaze A. Stancampiano and Blythe A. (Roger) Trivilino; Brother-In-Law to Janice (Bob) Grier, Cil (Ralph) Salomone and James (Frances) Greco; Uncle to Jim (Lynn) Stancampiano, Robert E. Stancampiano, Jeanne (Randy) Lofgren, Michael A. (Elsie) Greco, and Matthew J. (Dana) Greco; Great Uncle to precious Maxwell Natale and Ella Rose Lofgren; and Great Step-Uncle to precious Alexis, Emerson, and Aubrey Smith. Pete was preceded in death by his brother N. Joseph (Nicky) Stancampiano. A 1954 Central Catholic Graduate, Pete earned his Bachelor and Master's Degree in Mechanical Engineering Science from Carnegie Tech (CMU) and PHD Credits from the University of Pittsburgh. Pete was a veteran serving in the US. Army Reserves. He was president of Design Decisions Incorp. He was a lifelong member of St. Louise de Marillac Church and ASME. He enjoyed the Veterans Breakfast Club with his cousin Bucky Liberto. Pete enjoyed the Steelers and Pirates and celebrated with a plaque at Heinz Field. He was a well-versed Civil War Buff. The family is very grateful for the support provided by neighbors and friends. They would also like to thank the staff at Hillman Cancer Center UPMC, St. Clair Hospital and Concordia Health Care for the dedicated and tireless care they provided.
