Age 79, passed away peacefully on Friday, December 24th, 2021, at home with family. Born in Pittsburgh and a lifelong resident of Troy Hill and Bridgeville, Paul was a 1960 graduate of North Catholic High School and served his country honorably in the U.S. Navy, completing tours in the Mediterranean on the USS Forrestal. Paul also served in numerous roles over 40 years with Duquesne Light Company, and had a love for nature and his family, befitting the warm heart he shared with so many. Paul is survived by his dear wife of 48 years, Vickie Meurer; his son, daughter-in-law and granddaughter, Joseph and Kristina Meurer and Brandi (Jared); son and daughter-in-law, Erik and Penelope Meurer; and extended beloved family and friends. Paul was preceded in death by his father, Paul, mother, Anna, sister, Louise, and other cherished family members. The Meurer Family would like to thank Concordia Hospice of Washington and its caring nurses and aides for the exceptional and heartfelt care provided to Paul in his final months.
