Age 99, of Upper St. Clair, Pennsylvania, formerly of Parma Heights, Ohio, peacefully passed away on Wednesday, May 27, 2020. Beloved husband of the late Sara “Sally” A. (O’Neill) Kalal; loving father of Paul (Gerry) Kalal, Sara “Sally” (Glenn) Child, and the late Michael Thomas Kalal; proud grandfather of Theresa Child, Cary (Jamie Weaver) Child, Kelly Kalal, Elaine (Albert “Bud”) Schultz, and Kim (Harold) Cherrix; caring great grandfather of Coleman Child, Sean Radus, Jayden & Baxter Patrick, and Hadley & Aleah Schultz; brother of the late Grace Marie and John Kalal, Ruth Kniola, Emil and Robert Kalal; cherished son of the late Ada Rose (Trepanier) and Emil J. Kalal. Also survived by many loving nieces and nephews. Paul served in the U.S. Navy as an Aviation Store Keeper Chief on Saipan during WWII. He was a Production Control Manager at RCA and Allis Chalmers, and Security Officer at the Catholic Diocese of Cleveland for 24 years. Paul was also a 4th degree Knight of Columbus. Earlier in life, Paul was a Semi-Pro baseball player. He enjoyed golfing, bowling, and was an avid baseball fan. When he moved to Pennsylvania Paul converted to be a Pittsburgh Sports Fan.
