Obituary for Patrick James "Pat" Desmond

Age 68, Patrick James "Pat" Desmond of Upper St. Clair, passed away at his home on Wednesday, February 17, 2021. Loving father of Benjamin (Ashley) Desmond and Josh (Kristin) Desmond; proud grandfather of Kayla Desmond; treasured brother of Jewel Casinelli and the late Tom Desmond; caring brother in law of Kathryn Desmond; cherished son of the late James and Dolores Desmond. Pat is also survived by his former wife, best friend and love, Shelley Desmond, her canine companion Deuce, and many loving nieces and nephews. Pat played on adult baseball leagues with some of his high school friends as well as hockey for many years. He then continued to a career path as a carpenter for over 30 years. He was a Master Carpenter with the Pittsburgh Union for 10 years and was head carpenter at Mt. Lebanon School District for 20 years. He worked on many projects around the Pittsburgh area, including Trimont in Mt. Washington, Pittsburgh International Airport, and the Highmark Building, downtown. Pat enjoyed riding his Harley and driving his Corvette all around town. Also, he looked forward to the yearly family vacation to Ocean City, Maryland. Most of all, he loved to spend time with his granddaughter Kayla, coloring, painting and playing dolls. He will be dearly missed by all. Funeral arrangements by BEINHAUERS. Friends and Family are welcome at 2828 Washington Rd. McMurray, 724-941-32111 on Saturday 12-4PM, where a blessing service will be held at 4PM. Interment will be private at Mt. Lebanon Cemetery.
