Nancy A. Marquer-Mele, 66, of Eighty-Four, PA passed away on January 7, surrounded by her family. Loving daughter of the late August Marquer and Edith Shadler, and sister to Carol Rumberger and Yvonne Zanos (dec).

Nancy was born on August 1 in the city of Homestead. She graduated from Canon McMillan in 1971 along with her husband Frank A. Mele. Nancy and Frank went on the complete their bachelor’s degrees at St. Joseph’s College in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Shortly after college, they were wed. Nancy and Frank were married on August 2, 1975. At this time, they joined the Mele family grocery business and started their family. Frank and family,
My deepest heart felt sympathy with your loss of Nancy. She was a very, kind, sweet and beautiful person. I will long remember her at my days of working at East End Foodland. She was a great mom and loved her children and grandchildren. She will be truly missed. May God's loving embrace hold all of you close to comfort you at this time of loss. Prayers and blessings.

I remember Nancy from high school, and I got the pleasure to be with Frank and Nancy, with the Spanish Club and Miss Heissler in 1971. We got the opportunity to go to Spain. That was the most miserable memorable longgggg flight we ever took . Although a memorable trip. I knew Frank and Nancy from other encounters. If not in the grocery store, but times at their home. One 4th of July picnic was the most memorable. I went there with with Frank's friend Alex. Nancy was so gracious and accommodating u felt like it was my home as well. Her knowledge of flowers and design was infathomable. She will be missed by so many. May her sole soar always through all of us. Nancy would wasn us to keep smellin the Roses.
