Obituary for Nancy Josephine Bunton (Taricani)

Age 95, of Upper Saint Clair PA and formerly of Hobe Sound FL, widow of William E Bunton, Sr. passed away peacefully surrounded by the immense love of her family on Saturday July 23, 2022. Nancy was born in New Britain CT on March 7, 1927 to the late Sylvio and Rose (Dagata) Taricani. Nancy grew up as one of 4 siblings to proud Italian immigrants. On November 15, 1952 Nancy married the love of her life William. Together they were blessed with 6 children and remained happily married for 50 years until his death in 2003.

While raising her family, Nancy worked at and then retired from Stanley Works in CT. In the late 1980’s, she and her husband retired to Martin County FL. In 2018, she made the move to Upper Saint Clair PA to be closer to her son and his wife who made sure that she was always surrounded with love and the best medical care.

Nancy was a devout Catholic as well as a dedicated wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister and aunt. She cherished time with her family, extended family and many friends. She always looked forward to Sunday dinners and holidays with the family. Her extraordinary abilities to make homemade Italian food always brought everyone to the table. Nancy continued to bowl until she was 89, enjoyed crocheting and knitting, watching the Game Show Network, winning at Yahtzee, going to the casino, casino cruises, playing poker and blackjack.

Nancy is survived by her children Cheryl (Ed) Malin, Deborah (John) Glinski, Barbara Rice, Laurie (Raymond) Ellsworth and William (Kate) Bunton, Jr.. 12 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren. Her special nieces, Goddaughter Sylvia Albert and Kathy Maynard along with many other beloved nieces, nephews and relatives.

Besides her parents and her husband William Sr., Nancy was predeceased by her daughter Jo Ann, her brother Harold and sisters June and Irene.

Kind and generous of spirit, always putting others ahead of herself, she will be sorely missed.

Family and friends are invited to Beinhauer Funeral Home, 2828 Washington Rd. McMurray, PA 15317, 8:30 a.m. to 10:15 a.m. on Saturday, July 30th with a funeral service to follow at 10:30 a.m. at St. Louise de Marillac, 320 McMurray Road, Pittsburgh. Interment on August 3rd, 1:00 p.m. at Forest Hills Memorial Park, 2001 SW Murphy Road, Palm City FL.
