On Tuesday, January 10, 2023, at age 89, Dr. Mildred M. Maguire, of Waynesburg, PA, went to be with the Lord. Daughter of the late John and Mildred Magura, of Leetsdale, PA; sister of the late Joan M. Kunze, also of Waynesburg, and Jean Magura, of Bethel Park, PA. She was the proud aunt of Laura Monroe, of Sebring, FL, and John (Sharon) Kunze, of Fort Wayne, IN; and great-aunt to Dr. Allison Kunze, of Chicago, IL, and John Alex Kunze, of Manhattan, NY. A graduate of Carnegie Mellon University with a masters degree from the University of Wisconsin. Mildred received a doctorate from Penn State University. Mildred retired as a professor emeritus of physical chemistry at Waynesburg University. Mildred was awarded a Leverholm Grant to do research at the University of Leicester, England. She also received a grant for travel to China and India with the People to People Organization. She enjoyed travel and was an avid reader. Private funeral services were held at the BEINHAUER FUNERAL HOME, in McMurray on Friday, January 13th, followed by burial at Queen of Heaven Cemetery.
