Obituary for Mercedes Rita "Cede" Collins (Evans)
Mercedes (Cede) R. Evans Collins, Age 98 of Whitehall, passed peacefully on Wednesday, February 23, 2022, surrounded by her loving family. Cede was the beloved wife of Francis (Clem) Collins and cherished mom of Mary Rita (Web) Kunash, the late Judith (David) Wilmer, Jim (Judy), and Sean (Sherri). Adored Gram of Jamie (Melissa) Swiger, the late Jennifer Scott, Kylei Collins, Kelly (Sean Runt) Collins, Bret (Emily) Kunash, Casey Kunash and Jeffrey Wilmer. Loving Great Gram of Teia, Shyhiem, JT, Cameron, Shy, Cavan, Brooklyn, Murphy, Meara, Skyla, Mila, and soon-to-be baby Kunash.
Cede was a daughter of Dr. William and Margaret Evans and sister of Ruth Ann and the late Hearty, Carol, Marian, Dick, Tommy, Howard, Donald (Duke), Robert (Bucky), Lorraine, Regis (Tex) and Art. Also survived by many nieces, nephews and Sister-in-laws
Cede was not only a devoted wife, mom, and grandmother but dedicated herself to caring for others. She had a special knack for making everyone feel welcome in her home or back porch.
Arrangements by BEINHAUER. Friends received Friday from 3:00 – 7:00 PM. A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 am at Queen of Heaven Cemetery, please meet on the left side of the office building at the cemetery at 10:45 am.
