Mary L. “Minnie” Miller of Pleasant Hills, passed away on Friday, August 12 after a long and full life of 81 years. She is the beloved wife of Robert J. “Bob” Miller for over 40 years; loving mother of the late Paul Wilding, Patricia (William) Perkins, Cynthia (David) Graf, Phillip (Amy) Wilding, Robert (Tracy) Miller; proud grandmother of Nicholas Hankle, Allison & Zachary Graf, Colby Wilding, Nicole (Timothy) Cruse and Lorraine Perkins.
Minnie loved her family, loved her friends, and loved talking to people. She gathered friends all throughout her life and was someone people were just drawn to. She very much enjoyed living in Pleasant Hills apartments and in the South Hills community. She was an enthusiastic attendee of her card playing groups, bingo and various other activities like playing craps and slots at the casino, Christmas caroling, karaoke, miniature golf, etc. She was an excellent cook and made a house a cozy, welcoming home.
She experienced a once in a lifetime trip to Africa and was able to see Alaska with her husband. She also enjoyed life’s simplest gifts like sitting on a porch/balcony talking or reading a book, watching trees “dancing” in the wind and coaxing hummingbirds to her feeder.
Minnie will be remembered for her dedication to her family and friends. She was one of a kind, loved the phrase “I’ll tell you what” and didn’t take….from anyone. She will be greatly missed.
