Obituary for Mary Lou Reynolds

Mary Louise Reynolds, of Upper St. Clair, passed away on Wednesday, March 24, 2021.

She was born March 21, 1932 in Bristol, PA, daughter of the late Albert B. and Helen McGlaughlin Morrison.

Mary Lou was a resident of Friendship Village of South Hills where she was an avid Bridge Player and enjoyed embroidery and crocheting.

She volunteered with many community groups during her lifetime including the PTA and served as a Brownie Leader with the Girl Scouts of America. Mary Lou was a faith-based person who was active in her church with the Vestry, the Altar Guild, and was both a Sunday school teacher and administrator.

On September 8, 1956, she married Glenn Reynolds, who predeceased her on June 23, 2001.

She is survived by two daughters, Marilynn (Pat) Welsh and Janet (Paul) Popowski; six grandchildren, Ryan Welsh, Meghan (Grady) Shacklette, Erin (Derek) Inskeep, Caitlin (Jamison) Amoros, Lauren Popowski and Kristen Popowski; and two great-grandchildren, Gracyn Kent and Keiran Amoros.

In addition to her husband Glenn Reynolds, deceased is a grandson, Kevin Welsh, and a sister, Virginia Muller and her husband John.

Arrangements are entrusted to Beinhauer Funeral Home. A memorial service to celebrate her life will be held in the St. Clair Room of Friendship Village on Monday, April 26, 2021, at 9:30 a.m. Due to covid restrictions, space is limited and attendance will be by invitation of the family. The service will be livestreamed and available on our website. Interment will be private at the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies. In lieu of flowers, contributions in her memory may be made to the Friendship Village Employee Appreciation Fund, 1290 Boyce Road, Pittsburgh, PA 15241, or Anglican Parish of Christ the Redeemer,120 E. College Street, Canonsburg, PA 15317.
