Obituary for Mary Jane Schaude (Walsh)

Mary Jane (Walsh) Schaude

Age 93, of Brentwood, Whitehall, and Brookline, passed peacefully on Sunday, April 3, 2022. Mary Jane was the beloved wife of the late William H. Schaude, who preceded her in 1989; loving mom of William (and his wife Bonnie) Schaude of Atlanta, Georgia, James (and his wife Holly) Schaude of Minneapolis, Minnesota, and the late Cynthia J. “Cindy” Buckley; dear mother-in-law of John H. “Buck” Buckley, of Bethel Park; devoted grandmother of Bria Buckley Throm, J. Brian (Elyse) Buckley, Asia (Case) Buckley, Meghan Schaude (John) Horner, W. Taylor (Alejandra) Schaude, Justin (Molly) Schaude, Jenna  (Jefferson) Clark, and Britton (Jessica) Schaude; great-grandmother of Charlotte and Chloe Throm, John and Claire Buckley, Graham and Elliot Horner,  and sister of Charles Walsh. Also survived by her Northstar and caregiver, Cheryl Price. In addition to her husband, Mary Jane was also preceded in death by her parents James and Gertrude Campbell Walsh, as well as nine siblings. There is solace that Mary Jane is joyfully reunited in Heaven forever with her cherished daughter, Cindy, with whom she shared a very special, beautiful connection.

Mary Jane met her husband in McKees Rocks. They raised their family in Brentwood, then settled in Whitehall. She was a visionary, responsible, beautiful, tasteful, prudent, classy, tough, smart, and modest.  Education was paramount for Mary Jane. Her sacrifice and determination allowed all three of her children to graduate from college—the firsts in the family. Then she herself went back to school to earn her bachelor’s in applied science after her children were grown. Caring for and loving her family was primary.
