Mary Ann Deger

Age 88, of Upper St. Clair, peacefully passed away on Sunday, August 7, 2022. Beloved wife of Charles Deger for 66 beautiful years; loving mother of seven daughters, Teresa (Peter) Bozic, Mary Lynn Laughlin, Karen Miller, Jeanne (Shawn) McGorry, Sharon (Dale) Lebon, Lisa (Trevor) Davis, and Victoria (James) Howenstein; proud grandmother of Benjamin and Zachary, Joseph, Kelly and Jamie, Danine and Faith, Shawn Patrick and Shannon, Theodore, Charles, Steven and Andrew, James Charles and Andi; caring great grandmother of eight; dear sister of Robert Dannemiller and the late Jean Gill; cherished daughter of the late Franklin and Rose Dannemiller. Mary Ann had so many friends who she would always do activities with. She loved to travel with Chuck and friends, host multiple card clubs, was an avid reader, and enjoyed nightly neighborhood walks with friends. Her career at Upper St. Clair High School Library provided her much enjoyment and satisfaction after her children were grown along with making many lifelong friends. Mary Ann was a devoted parishioner at St. Louise deMarillac Church, where she was a part of the Ladies of Charity, the Women’s Guild, and helped out in the school. Later in life, when Mary Ann and her husband moved into Asbury Place, she continued to live life fully through many activities and made many friends. The Deger family would like to thank all the nurses and staff for the care given to their mother throughout the years. Mary Ann will be remembered for her strong catholic faith, caring nature, and most of all love of family. She will be dearly missed by all. Funeral arrangements by BEINHAUERs. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Catherine of Laboure Parish, St. Louise deMarillac Church, Thursday 10:30AM. Entombment to follow in Queen of Heaven Cemetery.
