Obituary for Lyle Sherman Smith
Age 77, of Peters Twp., passed away peacefully surrounded by family on Saturday, January 30, 2021. He was born in Cleveland, OH, a Son of the late Sherman and Helene (Covill) Smith.
Beloved husband of the late Janet (Ansley) Smith, Cherished Father of Jeff Smith (Margaret) of Moundsville, WV, Michelle Roach (Allen) of Idaho Falls, ID, Brian Smith (D’Ann) of New Martinsville, WV, and Cherished Stepfather of Shelly Morningstar of Flanders, NJ; also Adored Grandfather of 11, Aaron, Ashley, Austin, David, Emily, Lara Ann, Lucy, Madeline, Matthew, Wade, and Zachary, and Great Grandfather to Jaxson, Jensen, and Kheiran. Proceeded in death by his late wife, parents, and sister, Susan Buga.
Lyle was a graduate of Keystone High School in LaGrange, OH and Fenn State (Cleveland State University) in Cleveland, OH, and was a retired Human Resource Executive with PPG Industries.
An active volunteer at South Hills Bible Chapel, Lyle was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by family and many friends.
