Obituary for Luca James Bianco

Luca J. Bianco passed away on December 13, 2022. Luca was born in Pittsburgh on August 20, 1931. He grew up in Carrick and graduated from Carrick High School then went on to graduate from Duquesne University School of Business after serving in the U.S. Army during the Korean War.

Luca was the youngest son of the late Dominick and Albina Petraglia Bianco. He was preceeded in death by his siblings and their spouses. His brother Frank (Jennie). His brother Valentino (June). His sister Catherine (Don) and his sister Sr. Marian Bianco, Sister of Charity. He was the son-in-law of the late Ralph and Martha Barretta.

In 1957 Luca married his adoring wife JoAnne who survived him. They would have celebrated their 66th anniversary in January of 2023. Together they raised 3 amazing children, Barrie Lynn Bianco, Shari Rae Kienzle (Paul) and the late Dr. Robert Bianco. Grandfather of Bianca Marie, Mia Noel, and Sophia Lynn.

He was proud of and loved his family and enjoyed being with them. Especially on their summer beach vacations and family dinners.

In 1963, Luca moved to Wheeling ,WV where he was a partner in the S.R. Snodgrass Accounting firm. He was a past president of the West Virginia Association of Certified Public Accountants. After his retirement Luca continued to work as an accountant for A & B Auto in Wheeling until his death. He really enjoyed working and spending time with his associates there.

In 2019 Luca and JoAnne moved back to Pennsylvania to be near their families. They lived in Canonsburg, very close to their beloved daughters and family.

Luca is survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins and their families and many friends in Wheeling and Pittsburgh. We are very grateful for the loving support and friendship from Paul Kienzle, Paul Henry and the late Cliff Wilson.

Funeral arrangements by BEINHAUERS. Family and friends welcome at 2828 Washington Road, McMurray 724-941-3211 Friday 2-8 P.M. A mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday at 10:00 A.M. in St. Oscar Romero Parish, St. Patrick Church. Entombment at Queen of Heaven Cemetery.
