Obituary for Lillian Brown (Waddell)

First and foremost, dedicated to and loved by her family. Born in Wellsburg, WV, on February 2, 1923. Youngest of the eight children of the late G. Robert and Jeannie Sheppard Waddell. Graduate of Wellsburg High School and West Liberty State College. Registered Dental Hygienist. Retired after 38 years of dedication to the profession. Active volunteer for St. Clair Hospital and St. Clair Woman’s club. Always kind and generous, she invited many friends and relatives to share her house when they needed a helping hand. Active member of St. Clair Country Club and particularly enjoyed the Bowling League. Taught Sunday school at Westminster Presbyterian Church School. On June 14, 1947, she married the love of her life, Rome Hollister Brown, who preceded her in death. They celebrated 59 loving years. She was the glue in our family. Lillian is survived by her daughter Josephine B. Kornman and husband Robert and grandchildren Holly Hampp and husband Tim and great-grandchildren Joshua and Ethan and Reid Kornman and wife Stacie and great-grandchildren Moira, Flynn and Eliza; and her son Robert E. Brown and his wife Kathy and granddaughter Sharon Jakopchek and her husband Pat and great-grandchildren Lillie Ann and Andrew and grandson Russell Brown; also survived by many nieces and nephews.
