Obituary for Lawrence Earl "Big Lar" Keller Sr.
Lawrence E. Keller Sr, affectionately known as Big Lar, passed away January 3, 2023 at the age of 75 in the care of hospice with his family at his side. He is predeceased by his parents, Francis and Marie, sister, Carol and brothers, Ken and Chip. He is survived by his sister, Kathy Louder of Florida, his loving and always attentive wife of 54 years, Andrea, sons, Larry (Michele) and Mike (Debbie), and six amazing grandchildren - Tyler, Lizzy, Madeleine, Paige, Austin and Sloane.
Larry graduated from Dormont High School in 1965. He became a freight conductor on the railroad, retiring from Norfolk Southern, and a proud member of the UTU. Big Lar enjoyed visiting with friends at Moraine Camplands, giving the grandkids golf cart rides, playing cards and the occasional beer at a local watering hole - and there was always a local watering hole.
Arrangements by BEINHAUER, 2630 West Liberty Ave Pittsburgh 15216, 412-531-4000. A private reception will be held for close family this Spring. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations in his memory be made to a charity of your choosing.
