Obituary for Judy Ann Falce (Davis)

On Friday, April 24, 2020, Judy Ann (Davis) Falce passed away after a courageous battle with cancer. Survived by her husband Dr. William Falce, Jr. and children Billy Ray (Heather and daughter Maya) Falce and Cortney McLean Falce (David) Williams. Preceded in death by her parents Ray D. and Dolores (McShane) Davis. Judy was a caring, creative, intelligent, and vivacious woman. She treated everyone she met as a friend. Judy had an infectious smile and radiated a love of life. Judy was a woman whose style and manner embodied the grace of earlier times, and she often took the time to send hand-written notes to those who were in her thoughts. A graduate of Duff’s Business School, Judy’s early professional experience included working as a secretary at the Pittsburgh City Morgue. After moving to Bethel Park, Judy impacted the community in many ways. When she was employed by the Bethel Park Recreation Department in the 1970’s and early 1980’s, Judy helped to create numerous arts and athletic programs, as well as the daycare program. As a proud wife, she enjoyed assisting her husband with his Bethel Park Track and Cross-Country meets and banquets. As a Bethel Park parent, she was a member of the committee that started the Independence Middle School Teen Center. Judy and Bill owned Heather’s Flowers in Bethel Park from 1984-1998. Judy took pride in designing innovative and dynamic floral creations that were a part of many special moments in her customer’s lives. Among the many committees and organizations in which she participated as a business owner, Judy proudly served as a member of the Bethel Park Community Foundation and was the President of the South Hills Chamber of Commerce. After selling the flower shop, Judy continued to share her floral talent with family and friends. From 1998-2010, Judy was proud to work for Beinhauer Family Funeral Homes. In particular, as the Public Relations Professional and After Care Coordinator, Judy felt honored to offer her assistance to grieving families. During 2012-2019, Judy was a creative force and inspiration behind the Bethel Park High School Fall Plays. Due to the Covid-19 restrictions, a private service will be held at Beinhauer Family Funeral Home in Peter’s Township. A memorial to honor Judy’s life will be celebrated at a later date.
