Obituary for Joseph Virgil "Joe" Caputo Sr.
Age 88, of Bethel Park, died peacefully on Monday, March 22, 2020 at UPMC Mercy. Beloved husband of the late Lois Marlene (Owings) Caputo; Beloved father to his sons, Joseph of Pittsburgh, Gary of Venetia, and Donald (CathyJo) of Acworth, GA; Beloved grandfather of four cherished grandchildren: Ashley, Alyssa, Nick, and Jake. Son of the late Virgil N. and Julia (Troilo) Caputo.
Joe was a graduate of Duquesne University, where he obtained his Bachelor’s Degree. He met his wife, Lois, while serving our country in the U.S. Army in Fort Collins, Co. They married in Colorado Springs. He was an insurance adjuster for Harleysville Insurance Company for many years until his retirement. Joe was also an avid golfer and sports enthusiast.
