John Boschuk, Jr.
Age 77, of Peters Township, passed away surrounded by his loving family on Friday, November 25, 2022.
John was the beloved husband of 45 years to Lourdes Boschuk; devoted father of Maria Antonia (Cliff Strutz) Sia Strutz, Lou (Arlene) Martinez, Martha (Tony McGowan) Boschuk, and Maria Lourdes Boschuk (Jamie) Kielur; and adoring Grandpops of Lauren Martinez, Alexander Martinez, Sophia Martinez, Arianna Martinez, Emilou Landas, Magnar Reese-Boschuk, Maxzym Reese-Boschuk and Isabella Kielur. He was preceded in death by his parents John and Nadja (Rilik) Boschuk, Sr.
John was a proud graduate of Lehigh University (undergraduate) and UC Berkeley (graduate and doctorate). As Captain, John served his country in the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers overseas and at home. John went on to become the only Certified Forensic Engineer in the field of Geotechnical Testing. He founded and successfully operated for 42 years his business JLT Laboratories, Inc. in Canonsburg. John’s legacy lives on in his daughter Martha and daughter-in-law Arlene, who together, continue to operate the business he started. The loss of John leaves a hole in the heart of his family. They can take some solace in knowing that John has been joyfully reunited in Heaven with his passed loved ones and many beloved furry companions who had gone before him.
Arrangements by BEINHAUERS, McMurray. Friends and family received Thursday from 9-11 a.m. at St. John the Baptist Orthodox Church, 601 Boone Avenue, Canonsburg, PA 15317, 724-745-8216. A funeral service will be held immediately following at 11 a.m., then burial will take place in Queen of Heaven Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial donations be made to the Washington Area Humane Society, https://www.washingtonpashelter.org/donate/, or any animal charity of your choice.
