Age 78, of Bethel Park, peacefully passed away on Thursday, April 6, 2023 at the VA Medical Center. He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Mary (Harding), his son Steve and his wife Sandy of Charlotte, NC, his daughter Lynn of South Fayette, PA, his son Brian of Charlotte, NC, and his granddaughter, Kayla, of Annapolis, MD.  He is also survived by his sister, Cynthia, of Nashua, NH, and his brother, Charles. John was born in 1945 in Quincy, Massachusetts. He graduated from North Quincy High School and Bentley College. John worked at US Steel/USX for over 30 years excluding his two years of military service in the U.S. Army.  He enjoyed spending time at the beach and his daily walks at South Hills Village Mall. Funeral services will be held at 2:30 PM on Thursday, April 13th at the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies located at 1158 Morgan Rd, Bridgeville, PA 15017.  Those who wish to remember John may make a donation in his memory to the Wounded Warrior Foundation, https://support.woundedwarriorproject.org.
