Joann (Joan) Patricia Melore Davis
Passed away on April 5, 2023, in Pittsburgh. She died peacefully, surrounded by loved ones. Born June 24, 1934, to Mary Konik Melore and Dominick Melore, Joan grew up in Squirrel Hill with brother Daniel and sister Helen. She attended St Philomena’s and graduated from Carlow College. Married to Reed J. Davis in 1963, the couple settled in Mt. Lebanon.
She is survived by her four children: Reed, Katherine, Russell and Lynn, seven grandchildren: Kayleigh, Reed, Courtney and Riley Davis and Conor, Katherine and Riley Murphy. And Vanessa, her great-granddaughter.
She traveled the world as a tour guide and the US as a market researcher for Proctor and Gamble. She studied under three of America’s first five master chefs. Joan was an avid tennis player and lover of the arts. A diehard Steeler fan, she attended 2 Superbowls and witnessed the Immaculate Reception.
The family will be welcoming guests at Beinhauer Funeral Home in Dormont, 2630 W. Liberty Ave. Pittsburgh, Pa 15216 on Monday April 10th from 10:30 -11:30.
