Age 76, of Upper St. Clair, peacefully, passed away on Thursday, July 21, 2022. Beloved husband of Pamela Long for 44 wonderful years; loving father of Julie (Robert) Pulice, Sandra (Kurt) Kennedy, and Elizabeth Long; proud grandfather of five; caring brother of Wendy (Kevin) Conroy. Jeff was a graduate of Mt. Lebanon High School and Gettysburg College with a Bachelor’s degree is Arts and Economics. Jeff proudly served in the US Air Force as a pilot. He was a KC-135 pilot, refueling plane, air commander. He was a part of SAC, Strategic Aircraft Command, and had 155 missions during the Vietnam War. After many years Jeff retired from Constar Plastics, helping to design many of the plastics we use today. Jeff was an avid fisherman. He went on yearly fishing trips with his buddies to Canada. Jeff was also an avid hunter. He loved to reload bullets and taught black powder at the sportsman club. Jeff also loved to garden. Every year he was the neighborhood envy for his tomato and vegetable plants. Jeff also enjoyed the water. He was a life guard early in life, swam in both high school and college, and owned two boats later in life, most of which the fishing was done on Lake Erie. Most of all, Jeff loved his family and spending time with everyone. He will be dearly missed by all. A service will be held on Thursday, August 4th 11AM at the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies, 1158 Morgan Road, Bridgeville, 15017 with full military honors. In lieu of flowers, for Jeffrey’s love of babies, memorial contributions may be made to The Alliance for Infants and Toddlers, Early Intervention, 2801 Custer Ave. Pittsburgh, PA 15227 (https://www.afit.org/).
