Obituary for Jean Lee Pauley

Jean Lee Pauley, 81, of Peters Twp., passed away peacefully with family by her side on Sunday, April 24, 2022.

She was born May 27, 1940, in Cincinnati, Ohio, the daughter of the late J. Lee and Josephine Helen (Nordstrom) Stratton.

Mrs. Pauley graduated with a bachelor’s degree from Grove City College.

Jean enjoyed playing bridge, word games, listening to music and loved spending time with her family and children. She was an avid reader and an accomplished pianist. One of her most memorable moments was playing alongside Guy Lombardo.

She was a member of Westminster Presbyterian Church where she taught Sunday school. Jean was also a member of the Republican Party and helped represent the contingent in Washington D.C.

Surviving is her beloved husband of 53 years, Richard A. Pauley; three daughters, Cheryl (John) Meyer, Lisa (Jim) Marcucci and Heather (Andy) Kiser; two sons, Mark (Frances) Pauley and Michael (Kelly) McKnight; and fifteen grandchildren, Ryan, Nicholas, Keirstyn, Miranda, Brandon, Ashley, Michael, Kristen, Missy, Rusty, Christopher, Theodore, Isabella, Austin and Hannah.

Friends will be received from 5 to 7 p.m. on Wednesday, in Beinhauer Funeral Home, 2828 Washington Road, McMurray (724-941-3211). A service will be held at the funeral home on Thursday at 10 a.m.
A private interment will be held in Forest Lawn Gardens Cemetery, McMurray.
