James Davis "Jim" Cresswell
Age 86, passed away peacefully on Monday, July 18, 2022. Born in Easton, PA on December 26, 1935, he was a son of the late Herbert and Louise Davis Cresswell. He earned his Bachelor’s and Master’s Degrees in Mechanical Engineering from Lehigh University. He then enjoyed a long career as an Aerospace Engineer with General Electric Company and later with Lockheed Martin Corporation in Valley Forge, PA.
In 1960, he married his soulmate Carol Evans, who passed away in 2006. He especially treasured his time spent with his family. Surviving are a daughter, Stephanie Gutshall (Lincoln) and son, Stephen Cresswell (fiancée, Catherine Litwin); two grandsons, Jack Cresswell and Cameron Cresswell; many nieces and nephews; as well as his cherished partner for the last 16 years, Joan Joyce.
Deceased in addition to his parents and wife are one brother, Charles Cresswell, and one grandson, Evan Gutshall.
Formerly from Audubon, PA, Jim moved to Peters Township, PA last year. He was a loving grandfather, father and husband; a true confidant and friend; a rocket scientist, accomplished cryptographer, world traveler, billiards champion, master Sudoku-ist, and Farkle enthusiast. What a remarkable man, what a remarkable life!
