The Mote and Carpenter families go back many, many years. The families grew up together, went to the same church, farmed and Dad’s best friend of 70+ yrs was a Carpenter. Jim’s parents were our neighbors and in our small community, neighbors are very special. We enjoyed many apples from their orchard. Jim was a kind man with the great Carpenter sense of humor. We want to extend love, prayers and the hope that the many memories are a great comfort to Sharon and family,

Jim and I bowled together, fished together, attended "movies" together, played cards together, visited each other, attended church together, made apple butter together, told jokes to each other and so much more. Sharon and I worked at the same school together for a period of time, and I had had all of their children and two of his brothers in school. What else can I say but that Linda and I loved you Jim. May you rest in well deserved peace. Linda and I share our deepest condolences with Sharon and all the family.
