George Wehn, Jr.
Age 91, of Upper St. Clair, peacefully passed away surrounded by his family on Friday, March 3, 2023.
George was the beloved husband of 67 years to Gloria T. (Forarile) Wehn; loving father of George “Matthew” Wehn, Jeffrey Wehn, Dennis Wehn and the late James Wehn (1999). George is survived by two grandchildren Emily and Nicklaus Wehn, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to his son Jimmy, George was also preceded in death by his dear sister and her husband and Annora and John Williamson, as well as sisters-in-law Peggy (Charlie) Bishop and Alice (Philip) Urso.
George was born on September 12th, 1931, the youngest of two children born to George and Ethel (Login) Wehn. After graduating from Shady Side Academy in 1950, he went to earn a bachelor’s degree in engineering from Lehigh University. After college, George enlisted in the U.S. Air Force and served his county from 1954 before being honorably discharged in 1983, as Lieutenant Colonel. George continued serving at the 911 U.S. Reserve Airbase in Pittsburgh, while simultaneously overseeing his generations-old family business, George Wehn & Sons, a commercial carpet distributor. He worked here for 40 years before retiring. In his retirement, George enjoyed spending time with his family, golfing, and traveling.

Friends and family welcome at 2828 Washington Road, McMurray, 15317, (724-941-3211) on Thursday 2-4 p.m. & 6-8 p.m. A brief Catholic Blessing Service will be held at 4 p.m. in the visitation room. George will be laid to rest in a private service at the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies with full military honors. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Foundation of America (www.alzfdn.org/).
