Obituary for Evelyn Ann Korb
Age 82, of Bethel Park, passed away suddenly on Saturday, May 13, 2023 with her children by her side. Evelyn was the loving wife of 57 years to the late H. Michael Korb, loving mother to Linda Korb and John (Michelle Yarbrough) Korb, the proudest Gram to Ella Korb, sister to Joann (Duane) Fielder, Carol Lawrence and Richard (the late Lisa) Goralczyk, and sister-in-law to Rosemarie (the late Stanley) Caldwell, Catherine (the late Joe) Brennan, and the late Geraldine (Daniel) Zalazar. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins and lifelong friends.
Evelyn loved family time and attending Ella's events; she was a fixture at softball and basketball games, piano recitals, band concerts and plays. Evelyn and Ella attended as many church carnivals as possible, always being one of the last to leave arms loaded with prizes and bellies filled with funnel cake and pierogies.
Shopping was one Evelyn’s favorite pastimes. A trip to the Dollar Tree could last 2 hours and always yielded a treat for Ella.
Evelyn was a people person who never passed up the opportunity to engage in conversation, especially about Ella. Her late husband said Evelyn could talk to a wall as long as she felt it was listening. For this, she will be missed most.

Friends and Family are welcome at 2828 Washington Rd., McMurray, 724-941-3211, on Thursday 2-4 p.m., 6-8 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in Our Lady of Hope Parish, St. Germaine Church on Friday 10 a.m., followed by interment in Queen of Heaven Cemetery.
